Awarded to the first-year cadet who has demonstrated the most dedication to Squadron activities through regular attendance, participation, dress and deportment.
Captain Norman L. Harding Memorial Trophy
Awarded to a junior cadet who has demonstrated outstanding leadership potential through excellence in dress and deportment throughout the current training year.
Most Improved Junior Band Member
Awarded to a junior member of the Squadron band who has demonstrated the most improvement in the areas of performance, attendance, dress and deportment throughout the current training year.
Best Overall Band Member
Awarded to the Squadron band member who has demonstrated consistent excellence in the areas of practice, performance, attendance, dress and deportment throughout the current training year.
Michael Garrioch Award
Awarded to a Senior cadet who has demonstrated the largest improvement in dress, deportment and dedication to the Squadron and the Air Cadet Program over the course of his or her cadet career.
Jim Webb Award for Shooting
Awarded to the cadet who achieves the highest average score in the Squadron’s Cadet Air Rifle Marksmanship Program during the current training year.
Jim Rendles Memorial Trophy
Presented to the cadet who – regardless of rank – through his or her active attendance and participation over the course of the year, has demonstrated the most initiative and enthusiasm in the betterment of the Squadron (ie. Fundraising, community & public relations, overall efficiency).
Lt Col JJ Parr Memorial Trophy
Presented to the cadet who – regardless of rank – has either achieved the highest level of fitness or has greatly improved their fitness level throughout the training year.
Overall Proficiency Award
Awarded to the cadet who best demonstrates the attributes of leadership, citizenship and physical fitness as promoted by the Air Cadet Program throughout the current training year.
Capt Maciej “Match” Hatta Award
Awarded to a Proficiency Level 3 or Proficiency Level 4 cadet who has achieved the highest marks in the Combined Aviation Performance Objectives Test, while consistently maintaining a high standard in participation, leadership, dress and deportment throughout the current training year.
Colonel Chris Hadfield Award
Awarded to the cadet who has achieved the highest marks in the Squadron’s Ground School Program and aviation scholarship entrance exam during the current training year.
Commanding Officer’s Award
Awarded to a Senior cadet who, through his or her participation and dedication to the Squadron, has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership and esprit de corps throughout the course of his or her cadet career.
